Having spent much time this past summer dealing with the always persistent pests that want to move in with our plants, and experimenting with numerous, highly toxic pesticides, I was looking hard for something that would make my task easier.

Lo and behold, I discovered it at Wal-Mart. What I discovered was Shultz Expert Gardener. It is a Three in One product which is as close to being non-toxic as anything we have found that is largely effective for control of a number of pests. As a bonus, it is also a fungicide.

For several months, I purchased their ready-to-use product in a 24 oz. spray bottle for about $6.00 a bottle. That is until I returned to Wal-Mart this weekend and found that they now carry the concentrate in a 20 oz. bottle that will make up to 16 Gallons of usable solution. The cost for this was about $12.00. Wow! Was I ever glad that oldladycactus was with me because she is the one that found the concentrate. I was already headed for the shopping cart with an armload of the $6.00 bottles.

Aside from being a very effective pest control product, one of the main reasons that I like it in the greenhouse is that it does not stink. actually, the odor is fairly pleasant, especially when compared to something like Malathion or Orothene. This is a big plus for in-home or greenhouse use.

The active ingredient is nothing other than Extract of Neem Oil. I'm sure you have heard all the great things about Neem Oil. Anyway, whole books are written about all the wonderful attributes of Neem Oil.

Finding this product has really simplified controlling a myriad of problems for us. We do not sell it, but want to pass this information on to you. We hope it is of some use.
